We have all faced disappointments. Some times disappointments seem to happen more often that the good times. Or maybe it is just that we tend to focus more on them. None of really knows why great things either turn out horribly or just get ripped out of your hands. Shouldn't God know how much these things mean to us? Shouldn't He know how much we were counting on the opportunities that just seem out of our reach or completely on the other side of the world?
Here is a great blog about disappointments by Lysa TerKeurst.
I decided to take one step away from disappointment and take one step
toward the good God was working through the loss of the speaking event. I
don't know why that amazing opportunity was offered to me, only to be
taken away. But I do know this . . . I'd rather rejoice in what is and
what will be, than wallow in what isn't. After all, disappointment only
stings as long as I let it.
