Flying while crying, a re-post

Samuel Zeller

am never ashamed of crying anymore. Maybe because I am much more mature or maybe I have just reached the point where I don't care what others think. But now that I think about it, I rarely cry in public. I like to think that tears are great for the skin and that they are like sweat, cleansing and detoxing. Call me crazy, but that is what I believe. There has to be a purpose for tears other than sadness. I know they happen during happy times as well, but my experience is more from sadness. Maybe that will change soon. One can only hope.

Crying is cleansing. There's a reason for tears, happiness or sadness.

Concerning the tears . . . tears cried when peeling onions is a public onset. We laugh and joke about them when someone coming to dinner finds us the cook with soaked cheeks. Tears must hate bad smells. I could tell my guests, "Hey,I am sorry about my getting this meal on the table on time . . . my tears are having a bad day."
