And Jesus said to the man he healed from leprosy…“See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (Matt 8:4) How do you spread the news of what Jesus does if you cannot tell anyone? Why not show them. People are more apt to believe what they see than what they hear. To many of us “seeing” is believing.
Jesus had his reasons for not wanting others to know of these healings. He is a Time God and His time had not come because Palm Sunday and Easter Resurrection were down the road. BUT, you have been told to tell everyone - yet you are telling NO One of the goodness or the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said I’ve asked Peter, James, John and a few more friends to tell other people about me. Those who are told will in turn tell still other people, and my story will be spread to the farthest reaches of the globe. Ultimately, all mankind will have heard about my life and what I have done. Jesus wants us to tell others about Him.
