Flying with a safe place to land

Carli Jean Miller
Do you ever wish you had a place to go where no one judged you? A place just to cry, laugh, vent, or do whatever you need to do to get through the day? What does that place look like to you? What sounds do you hear? What do you smell?

I found such a place over the weekend. It was at a friend's house. We sat around talking and talking and talking. We were all very supportive of each other. No one told us what we should have done, could have done or anything like that. We did tell each other if we were worried about something, but that was it.

We colored my hair (that requires a huge level of trust) and we cooked. There were four of us and we took great care of each other. It was amazing. We agreed to do it again from time to time. That is true friendship being a safe place to land.
