Flying with Thursday's Word Empty by Brenda Smith, part 2

Jesus’ mother knew that when the wine ran out at the marriage, she was not capable of doing anything about it, nor anyone in the room other than Jesus. The host ran out of wine and the people began to worry, whispering about the problem, until the whole crowd knew and the host was embarrassed! Jesus let them scramble for a while. He let them see that they couldn’t do it on their own no matter what they tried. He waited until they ran out of options, and then He took the empty water pots, had them filled with water, and with this first miracle, changed everything. We need to be emptied of ourselves, our sins and everything that separates us from God and allow Him to fill us with His Spirit. Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Coloss. 2:7
Jesus wants to change your world. And when Jesus changes the worlds of people, one life at a time, the world begins to change – and that is God’s plan to rescue humanity from the mess it is in. But in order to accomplish that plan, God needs people who are willing to face the truth about who they are and that begins by looking up to God, looking in to their own sin, and reaching out for the hand of Jesus, which is the only way we have to get across the bridge of selfishness and empty belief and over to where God is.
Like Jesus….your time has come. It is time for you to make an effort in your life today to be filled with the knowledge, wisdom, hope and faith in Jesus Christ. Let us empty ourselves of all the things that are bringing us down. We have to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to pour into the lives of others. Dig your roots deep into the richness of the Word of God and built up in Biblical truth. God bless!!!
