Flying with your own success

We each have some measure of success and it is different for each of us. The key is to understand and appreciate our own as well as that of others. We should never, ever compare the victories of others to ours. That act can create the illusion of tarnish or smallishness of ours or the delusion of grandeur in others.

It is important that we stand up and applaud ourselves. That alone is more important that the applause of others, even though many of us forget that. And forgetting that causes much anguish. We all get to where we are going by various routes taking various amounts of time often with various challenges. It is what it is and we need to relish in that fact.

Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.
