Flying while being ‘kept’

A friend sent me an email asking me if I was a kept woman. I almost deleted it before I read the message. After all, I am certainly not a kept woman. I pay my own bills, bought my own house and cars, and anything else I need or want. Being a kept woman brought to mind all sorts of unflattering connotations. I was almost offended. But, since the sender is a very dear sister girlfriend, I opened the message and read it. If not, how could I send her a harsh reply voicing my dismay? However, after reading it, Sister girlfriend was right to send this to me and I apologize for all the things I thought in my head, but never actually said to her. I hope you find this message as uplifting as I did.

I Am a "Kept" Woman!

You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind, But GOD kept me sane. (Isaiah 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could go no longer, But the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong, But the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, I think the money just isn't enough, But GOD has helped me to keep the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)

When I thought I would fall, HE kept me up.
When I thought I was weak, HE kept me strong! (I Pet. 5:7, Matt. 11:28-30)

I could go on and on and on, but I'm sure you hear me!
I'm blessed to be "kept."

Are you...or do you know a "kept" woman ?
If so pass it on to her to let them know they are "Kept"

So, now I am proud to say that I am definitely a kept woman. I'm Kept by the Love and Grace of God!

This is great!! Even though sometimes, you feel lower than low, we have to remind ourselves that GOD lifts us higher and will continue to lift us higher and higher.
