Happy Monday! It's about joy!

This is from my friend who inspired this blog. She will post on her own shortly!

Monday, the start of a new work week for so many is a great time to write about JOY!
Remember; what we think about we bring about...
Look around you.... There is so much to be joyful for. You can read this email, Your coffee was just right, the shower temp was excellent, you will connect this week with new friends and experiences. And you, just YOU have the power to manifest all these opportunities in magnificent and joy filled ways. Spring really is arriving here in Charleston is such a glorious, showy, lovely way, and the weather has been so nice. We can take joy and comfort in knowing that our own path to joy is just that- OURS.

Do you remember the song that said; "...nobody can tell ya' there's only one song worth singing... they may try and sell ya' 'cause it hangs them up to see someone like you. You gotta make your own kind of music, sing your own special song even if nobody else sings along..."
Great advice and this advice below from Abraham equally as good...
Have an awesome joy filled day.
Much love,

We say to our physical friends, the purpose of your life is joy. And they
say, "Yeah, but for what? Toward what end? What will that get me?" And we
say, really, the purpose of your life is joy. The basis of it is absolute
freedom to choose. And the result of it will be growth. So then they say,
"Oh, then the real purpose is growth because the joy gets us to our
growth -- and so the real thing we are after is growth." And we say, well,
you cannot help but have expansion. Your purpose really is joy, because if
your purpose is anything other than joy, you won't be able to find the
vibration that allows the Energy which is the reason for growth. And they
say, "Oh, so the real purpose is growth after all." And we say, "The purpose
is joy. The purpose is joy!"

It's easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can then become your blessings.

Such is human psychology that if we don't express our joy, we soon cease to feel it. (Lin Yutang)
Every man, when he comes to be sensible of his natural rights, and to feel his own importance, will consider himself as fully equal to any other person. (Joseph Priestley, English Scientist, Theologian and Philosopher, 1732-1804)

This is true. Sometimes we want things when we want them and have to realize that there are setbacks and disappointments that do make us stronger. Now as I look for that job after college, I realize that. There weren't employers waiting at my door step as I had planned. But, like this blog post today, there is much joy. Joy that I am who I am, joy knowing that something right is out there for me.

Do you have tips for others looking for their first job? What have you learned in the process? What keeps you from getting discouraged?
