Flying at my graduation

Tomorrow is my graduation. It sort of seems anti-climatic since I have finished my dissertation and have my diploma right in front of me. I actually did not want to walk across the aisle, but got peer pressured into it. I am sure it will be fun. If nothing else, I will be among many others who have taken this journey as well. I will finally meet Dr. Goldman, the woman who has guided me and at time pulled me kicking and screaming through this process.

I have much to be thankful for.  Members of my family will be there to watch me. This is an epic event. I was the first grandchild on each side to get my bachelor's degree and am the first one to get a PhD. Someone beat me and got his Master's first.

I will post pictures later. For the moment I will allow myself to bask in the glory of my achievements, because when Monday comes I will be back at work with just memories of graduation day.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
