Flying with the confidence of an answered prayer

Another gem from Brenda.

THE CONFIDENCE OF AN ANSWERED PRAYER: In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. (Psalm 138:3). How many of you remember being called to dinner by your Mom? My Mom would come to the back door and start calling our names one by one. We would drop everything that we were doing and come immediately because it was a summons not just to eat but to come home. The other children we were playing with did not move, their names had not been called. They knew it was not their family member who was calling them.
Do you believe that God hears you when you call? Will he answer your prayers? You can take confidence that God not only hears but is faithful to answer your cries for help. Heavenly Father I am glad that I am a member of your family. When I call on you...you recognize my voice and come to my rescue. I have confidence that your hears and answers my prayers, because he has done so in the past. We have a relationship that I have to nurture on a daily bases. I read His Word and I obey His Word - that keeps the relationship strong. Thank you Lord.
