It’s that time again; applications for the Walker Phenomenal Spirit Award are due October 30, 2009. If you are a woman 35 years or older and have a dream, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE click here to apply. Do not deny yourself the opportunity to realize your dream. The application is simple and so far we have made the dreams of three women come true. The only criterion is that the dream is all about you. It has to be something you want to do for YOU.
Past winners are:
Laurie wanted to be a glass artist. The award bought her a much needed kiln.
Shannon wanted to learn how to build a greenhouse to grow organic herbs to sell to local restaurants. The award funded her tuition and books at a local college.
Lynda wanted really wanted to make the USA Dragon Boat Team and compete in the World Championships in Prague. The award helped fund her travels and she medaled several times in Prague.

For a very long time, no one told African American women that they could fly, so there are very few of them as commercial pilots. This website is for inspiring women to fly. Flying being defined as succeeding. Succeeding defined however you decide. We are simply here to tell you sistergirlfriend, YOU CAN FLY!
