Flying with Thursday's Word by Brenda Smith

Thursday's Word

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding." (Prov. 3:6)

Anytime we demonstrate faith, we're relying on something. When you sit in a chair, you're relying on the chair's manufacturer to produce something that will hold you up. When you're on the freeway, you're relying on every other driver to stay in their lane.

                                   Saul Cuellar

Faith in God means we rely on him and depend on his reliability. Having faith means realizing that God is bigger, greater, and better than me - and he loves me greatly!!!!

Genuine faith is relying on God's direction and on who he is. God is reliable. He knows what you need, and he wants to meet those needs. God wants us to learn to look and listen to what he has to say at all times. Some of those things he leads us to do and say may not seem logical to us. BUT, do those things because being obedient to God enables him to bless you.

Thank God we have NOW faith as in Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. But let us ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waver's is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (James 1:6).

Let us have the faith of Father Abraham...He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving Glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was ABLE TO PERFORM.

May God continue to bless you is my prayer.
