WORD: TELL

DEFINED:  Communicate information, facts, or news to someone in spoken or written words.
SCRIPTURE: “Then He sent him away to his house, saying, “Neither go into the town, nor tell anyone in the town.” –Mark 8:26

Have you ever been told some of the most exciting news in all the world, and you were told not to tell anyone? Have you ever gone to the doctor for an office visit, and an x-ray was taken. There was something there on the film when exposed, but when you went back and another x-ray was taken, the doctor could not find anything? But, the doctor told you not to tell anyone. Have you ever won the lottery and you kept the million dollar winnings to yourself? (some of us may wish to because of all the family that will find you)....but you decided to keep it to yourself or could you? Jesus had his reasons for not wanting others to know of these healings. He is a Time God and His time had not come because Palm Sunday and Easter Resurrection were down the road. BUT, you have been told to tell everyone - yet you are telling NO One of the goodness or the gospel of Jesus Christ. Why?

This is what was happening with Jesus in Capernaum. Jesus was going about healing all the sick  he came in contact with. He healed the man with the palsy that the four friends lower through the roof. Then he told him to get up, take up his mat and go home. Can you imagine being healed after suffering all those years unable to walk and Jesus heals you and you could not tell anyone? Well, we know he told it because he could not keep it to himself. To be healed, delivered, and set free and not tell it!!! Are you kidding me??
