Flying even when it looks like it won't work out

I decided that I might as well let Brenda finish out the week! Thanks Brenda for sharing your wisdom.

Just because it's slow....does not mean it will not happen.

I have been working very hard since before Thanksgiving getting things organized for our annual holiday luncheon, which was today. One of my co-workers came to me and said...."I was looking at the signup sheet trying to decide on what I needed to bring, and because I see so many people who have not signed up.....I think you should cancel the event." (The question that came to my mind first was, "Why are you in my business?")  But....I gathered myself and said..."Cancellation is not an option at this late date...everything is in place for it to happen." I have been doing this since the year 2000, so this is the 12th annual departmental holiday luncheon! Not only did the people signup for the potluck luncheon they also was ready to donate cash towards the event. You see...Saints do not let others tell you when it's time to give up on anything?!!  They' can't see and they don't know what God is doing behind the scenes and causing all things to work together for your good. My co-worker did not know that staff members were coming and giving me money instead of signing up because of all the year-end projects that we are involved in.  The same co-worker came back and said..."Wow!  Look what I would have missed...if you had canceled the event...
Great Job".  Keep on doing what God has called you to do, and don't listen to the hiss, but cause the hiss to miss!   That 'hiss' is Satan telling you to stop doing something that God has already called you to do.  If you give up on a thing, you will not see the good God has already planned for you.

Let the record speak for itself.......Not only was it one of the best attended, it will be one of the most talked about events of the year. It was not the 'usual' luncheon but it was 'unusual' in the manner in which all the department came together and sat down and leisurely enjoyed the meal. I don't remember seeing anyone on their phones, and I walked from room to room and heard nothing but laughter and unity amongst all who attended. I say again...."Just because it's slow....does not mean it will not happen."  You are blessed...so you may as well act like it!!!    -Hallelujah!!!!

If you need a Word today.....it is Unity.  (Psalm 133:1) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
Unite means to join together as a whole.
Unity is being one whole.

May God continue to bless you is my prayer.
