Flying with Making Memories

I recently learned of an amazing non-profit organization for brides-to-be. The Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission statement is:
“To provide an opportunity for metastatic breast cancer patients’ dream or wish to be fulfilled by providing a special time of 'Making Memories' together with their families, a chance that might not have become a reality without the assistance of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. To advance the awareness of breast cancer and to educate the public about the vast resources and support available to breast cancer patients and their families."

Let me explain the brides-to-be connection. Currently, the foundation’s primary fundraising branch is Brides Against Breast Cancer. They accept thousands of new and used wedding gowns every year from private and corporate donors, then sell these beautiful gowns to brides at exceptional savings over retail prices.

The nearest location to Charleston of Making Memories is Santee, SC off of I-95.

Daughter dearest and I made the trip this past Saturday and not only found a beautiful dress at a great price, but supported an awesome cause and left the shop exuberant! Upon entering the shop, we spotted a dress made by the designer that Alison favored and the dress was absolutely perfect for her! She tried on several dresses and the experience was a delight, but we knew all along which dress was going home with us. She was thrilled that our purchase will help fulfill a breast cancer patient’s dream and another plus of the transaction….no SC sales tax.

The shop also features formal gowns, flower girl dresses, couture dresses, veils and many other bridal items. Limited store hours are held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and staffed by wonderful bridal experts. Barbara and Betty have many years of bridal expertise and they went above and beyond to make it a memorable day for Alison and me.

Please share the following link with anyone you know who may be searching for a bridal dress. Visitors will be delighted by the extensive selection of dresses and the excellent prices. And you will leave smiling knowing that your dress, in addition to creating a beautiful memory on your wedding day, will also create a lifetime memory for someone else!
