Did you that hugs are a vital part of life? When is the last time you hugged someone? When is the last time you were hugged? I have a few friends that call each other when we need a hug. Most of the time we do not even talk. It isn't necessary. The other person does not need to know what happened. She knows that her sole mission is to provide the hug. She will listen if required, but she does not get offended if the other person does not want to talk. It works. We have doing this for about two years. We all understand. We understand and being there for each other is very important to us.
I do not know how scientifically sound this is, but I like this quote
We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth—Virginia Satir, family therapist
