Flying with words from Brenda Smith

Brenda Overjoyed Smith's photo.
A BRUISED REED HE SHALL NOT BREAK (Matthew 12:17-21) A bruised reed speaks of a growing Christian who has been hurt in much the same way that the stem of a flower can be bruised. When an individual is born again he is a seed. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth forever (I Pet 1:23).

Growing Christians get attacked prior to your maturity. As a growing Christian you are more susceptible to to the winds of adversity and the fiery darts of the enemy. The drooping head of a hurt Christian is no different than the dropping head of a bruised flower. The stem of a flower has been pinched by a careless hand, or sharp wind, and all support for upholding the head of the flower has disappeared. As long as you keep your roots in the good soil of Jesus Christ you will be restored. This is a perfect setup of the enemy.

Once you are hurt, he wants you to think you are no longer of any use to the kingdom of God. You are broken and irreparable. That is a lie of the enemy and do not fall for this!!! David said.. thy rod and thy staff they will comfort me. Do not hid your hurts and bruises from The Great Physician's care. He is the Greatest healer that ever lives(not dead but alive). He heals today!! Amen.
