Flying with green beans

I like green beans. In fact my niece and I snap them for Thanksgiving. It is our tradition. It is one of the things I want her to always remember. It will be our legacy together.

I hate green peas, sweet pea, English peas or whatever you call them. I am not sure why. But it has always been that way. I do not remember ever liking them. There are stories floating around the universe (provided by my Godmother) that I told my mother to peel the peas and she did. Of course my mother flatly denies that.

I am not sure why I felt compelled to write about green beans today. Maybe because I could and because I like them.

Whole foods like grains and beans release their sugar very, very slowly because of the fiber in them, and they don't give you a sugar rush. They feed your cells as needed, and as a result, you have loads of stable energy that powers you through the day.
