Flying with Thursday's Word Return with Brenda Smith

Hello All!!!

Thursday's Word is RETURN.  Return is defined as give back or coming back. I saw this statement: RETURNS ARE EASY! Most items can be refunded, exchanged or replaced when returned in original and unopened condition.  I was intrigued.

Let's define each of these words: refund, exchange, replace, and unopened.
Refund means money given back.
Exchange means the giving of one thing for another.
Replace means to put  back in place.
Unopened means not to accept.

The Bible tells us very clearly, in words spoken by Christ himself in Matthew 24, that He will come again. The real return of our Lord will take place in the sky, not on land. There was a great exchange that happened on Calvary over 2000 years ago when God exchanged the life of His Son for our sins. There will be no need to refund any money because the price has already been paid by the sacrifical shedding of Jesus' blood. He will put back in place the peace, love, caring that was originally meant for this world. He will usher in peace because He is Jehovah Shalom. When you leave a package that has been delivered unopened, that means you do not accept the delivery of the package. You will ask the carrier to return it without signing for it. If you sign for the package it is released to you. Jesus Christ signed for our release from hell when he shed his blood and died on Calvary. We were set free then, and we are free now. When God raised His Son from the dead...he had in his mind to set the captives free. And to let Satan know he did not win!

The original package was delivered in Bethlem. When the shephereds watched their flock by night and looked up in the sky and saw the brightest star shining. They followed the star and found the babe lying in the manger, wrapped in swaddling clothing. The Three Wise Men came from afar bringing him gifts of frankincense, gold and myrrh. They accepted the babe as the Savior of the world. They believed in his Kingship, and both the shepherds and the Wise Men spread the news far and wide.

"For the Lord himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." (I Thess 4:16,17). Thou it's impossible to know exactly what the experience will be like, we can expect it to be magnificent.  We'll be tansformed physically; unlike our present body, our new form won't be susceptible to pain, sin, sickness, or death. And in an instant, we will be brought into the presence of our heavenly Father, to remain with Him eternally.

Take comfort in the knowledge that soon after the devil tries to deceive the world, we will have the real return of our blessed Saviour, Jesus. (Matthew 24:36) states "But of that day and hour, no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only."

Returns are easy!  Accept Him as your Lord and Savior, and He will be coming back for you. Jesus is coming back, all that's left is when?  So, when the things of this world get you down, think about this exciting event in your future. The best is yet to come!

God bless.
