Flying with presence by Brenda Smith-Thursday's Word

More from the fantastic Brenda Smith
PRESENCE – IMMEDIATE VICINITY; PROXIMITY, OR BEING WITH OTHERS IN A PLACE.
[Our Church is in Convention in Louisville, Kentucky (July 10th-14th). I was in need of help and my friend Ian Menogan came to my rescue with this word. Thank you Lord for it is good to have people who care for you and what you are doing for the Lord!  Please pray for us that God will move mightily and that souls will be saved.
Getting in the presence of God does not require you moving. You are not taking God anywhere – you are moving with him and in him. Some of us believe that we have to be in God’s house in order to be in His presence. But, God is (omnipresent) everywhere at the same time. God’s address is not your local church congregation. You must practice the presence of God. Every Christian should know and enjoy this sweet, abiding presence of God minute by minute as we travel through life.
“The God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; (Acts 17:24).” The Bible is true that God does not dwell in temples built by human hands. That may have been the case in the Old Testament, but no longer. So if God does not live in the Church, how can you be in His presence? But, do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God (I Corinthians 6:19) “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Christians are the Church and are in His presence every moment of the day because His Holy Spirit is present in our bodies!
If you are in the “presence of God” at Church it is because you are there and He is “IN” you. Getting in the presence of God is not like taking a list and going to the grocery store and buying the today’s special. There is no special effort, I believe there is special care in getting in the presence of God. You need to want to be in His presence.  Remember, God lives in you! You do not have to get all dressed up on a Sunday morning and make you way out to a House of Worship in order to be in God’s presence. Every action in life should reflect this truth. You are God’s temple and because of this truth, every day is a holy day, every place is a holy place. Why? Because you serve a Holy God.

THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE – I CAN FEEL HIM IN THE ATMOSPHERE – THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE!
