Flying with new stuff from Brenda Smith, part 1

This is from Brenda Smith. I have broken it up into sections, so stayed tuned for the rest!

Pastor Ray preached a sermon a couple of weeks ago that was actually two sermons in one. It was entitled: "God is a Lifetime Guarantee - How Old is Old?" So, the word today is GUARANTEE. We are going to contrast that with the word WARRANTY.  I receive the Word through many channels: preached Word, prayer, conversation, circumstances, events, etc. however God decides to send it, I am thrilled to receive it!!!  So....let's get into His Word.

A guarantee is a promise or assurance, especially one in writing, that something is of specified quality, content, benefit, or that it will perform satisfactorily for a given length of time.
A warranty is used in property law, contract law, and insurance law. Property is a covenant, express or implied by which the vendor of the property vouches for the security of the title conveyed. When it concerns contract law, it is goods that have been contracted to be sold shall meet specified requirements as to the quality. Then insurance law insures that the facts given regarding the risk are as stated. Just from reading these definitions I can tell you that I would prefer to have God's guarantee. Satan would like to think of us as his property. God conveyed a covenant through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ expressly through His teaching which came from the Father, that he would be crucified and through the shedding of His blood would be the security of the title given to Him that we are His.  Satan did not think we were worthy of being saved. But, praise the Lord!  God felt we were worth the risk. It states in (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  All the facts given regarding the risk are already stated in the Word of God known to all of us as the HOLY BIBLE. That is God's promise to us saints.  HIS Word assures us that we can rest in the knowledge that everything that is written in The Bible is guaranteed the truth for a lifetime.  His Word is not going to change, although our situations, circumstance, or conditions change.  God's Word states he is a healer....whether He heals you on earth or heals you in heaven. And His Word tells us in (John 10:10) The thief cometh not, for to steal, and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they have it more abundantly. He is Jehovah Rapha our Great Physician.  His Word is Jehavoh Nissi...that blood stained banner. He is Jehovah Rophi....The Good Shepherd. It states in
(Psalm 23: 1) "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."
