Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to talk about the Walker Phenomenal Spirit award on television. That was a huge deal to me. I welcome any opportunity to tell women that there is help out there to make their dreams come true.

Doretha Walker is a woman on a mission. Not only is she a marathon runner, but she says she wants to see women succeed; especially those that work hard and deserve to see their dreams become reality.
That said, Doretha started her Walker Phenomenal Spirit Award. Its an annual award that she has been giving out, with the help of the Center 4 Women for five years now. It offers recognition to a deserving woman an a $1,000 one-time grant to a woman 35 or older

For a very long time, no one told African American women that they could fly, so there are very few of them as commercial pilots. This website is for inspiring women to fly. Flying being defined as succeeding. Succeeding defined however you decide. We are simply here to tell you sistergirlfriend, YOU CAN FLY!
