My newest sistergirlfriend Alluette blessed me the other night with samples of her food. She has two restaurants and serves holistic soulfood. It is organic, it is vegan friendly, and it is wonderful. I will admit that I have not supported her enterprises as well I could (I vowed to change that soon), but do not make my mistake.
Go to Alluette Cafe and Alluette's Jazz Cafe. Check out her website at http://www.alluettes.com. She has been featured in Oprah's magazine and several others. Here is just a tidbit of information about the restaurants taken directly from her website:
Alluette prepares the food as it is ordered. You may have to wait a little longer for that freshly prepared food, but once you take your first taste, you will be glad you came. Alluette’s Café is a “No Pork” restaurant. There are daily specials for lunch and dinner.
Alluette has an “always on the menu” section including brown rice and organic tofu for the vegan and vegetarian diner. No sugar is used in the preparation of any food or beverage.
Seafood is bought daily from local vendors. Joseph Fields is still a main supplier of seasonal organic produce.
Alluette’s Café is a “Fresh on the Menu Certified SC Grown” restaurant.
Shall I meet you there for dinner nest week?
