Flying while hard-headed

Yes, I am hard-headed. I have been carrying that label most of my life and most times it has served me well. I rarely gert bamboozled into anything unless you count that time when I honestly thought Bill Cosby ate Jell-O pudding pops and I had to have them. Anyway, that was many years ago and I have learned my lesson.

At the moment I am trying to remain true to myself and fit within an organization. I am hard-headed, yes and know that I do not always have the benefit of seeing the bigger picture. I am learning NOT to make a face, roll my eyes, or cross my arms during uncomfortable or unpleasant conversations. I am learning to assimilate, at least for the moment.

I realize that I do not have the need to affiliate and 'fitting in' isn't in my DNA for the most part. I do know that there is a certain finesse in cooperating and collaborating. So those are the talents that I am honing right now. See? Hard-headed does not necessarily mean stupid! Wish me luck!

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.
