Tomorrow I will be boarding a plane headed to Hawaii. I will admit that Hawaii was not on my list of places to see before I die, but I am willing to make an exception. I am sure that I will not be disappointed with this deviation. I think that is what life is, lots of deviations. We have the choice to stick to the plan or take the scenic route. In the past, I have stuck strictly to the plan. Not anymore. Now I realize that I cannot know everything and my THING just might be on the road that I refused to take.
I am not saying to go willy-nilly down a garden path. All I am saying is to take time to venture away from the mainstream once in a while. You never know what you will find. I found Hawaii.
For a very long time, no one told African American women that they could fly, so there are very few of them as commercial pilots. This website is for inspiring women to fly. Flying being defined as succeeding. Succeeding defined however you decide. We are simply here to tell you sistergirlfriend, YOU CAN FLY!
