Flying with Rena!

Megra speaks, again!

Since this is a blog about girlfriends, I thought I would share this with all of you. Don’t be afraid to show your girlfriend some love. We all need love and encouragement.

I have been “health challenged” over the past few years and I have a girlfriend who I have known since before we were born. Rena comes for all my major health issues. Her parents and mine went to college together. When I could no longer get advice from my mom because of the Alzheimer’s, I would call Rena’s mom and she would advise me. When she died, I cried like she was my mom and when my mom died Rena did the same.

One time we were at the hospital pre surgical procedure and Rena commented “I bet those nurses think we are lesbians because I am here with you.” I told her no, they think I have a good friend who would take off work to assist a friend who is scared s…less!!” I don’t think she ever thought of it that way. Did I mention she is a nurse and probably use to think the same thing when she would see girlfriends or boyfriends together for that matter. Don’t judge, just say “she is lucky to have a good friend like that.”

Actually, you really don’t need to say a thing.

Great point. It's not necessarily necessary to fill the space with words.
