Katie Hnida
More than any other sport, football has traditionally been a man's game. But Katie Hnida carved out her own place in college football history in 2003 when she kicked two extra points for New Mexico, becoming the only woman in the history of NCAA Division I-A football to score in a game. Previously, Hnida played at Colorado, but she never saw game action. After she left the team, she made allegations of rape against an unidentified teammate, but she did not press charges and none were filed.
I am glad she left and succeeded somewhere else. Colorado missed out!
