HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope that you and your loved ones celebrate this day with all the love and hope your hearts can hold. My parents, sister, and niece are here. We all are participating in the local Turkey Trot three mile race this morning.
There is not much to do when we get back. The turkey and dressing are already cooked. The homemade cranberry sauce and applesauce are in the refrigerator. The green beans have been snapped and are in the crock pot. The house smells amazing.
Here is an interesting fact: Sarah Josepha Hale wrote "Mary Had a Little Lamb."She is the same woman who worked long and hard campaigning to make Thanksgiving a national holiday in the mid-19th century.
