Flying in celebration (re-post, sort of)

On this day Monday of the new year, look forward to making your life just a little bit better.

When is the last time you celebrated yourself and your accomplishments big or small? Last night I was very fortunate to celebrate me with a very dear friend. We sat in her kitchen drinking champagne (which we both love and usually have a bottle in the refrigerator for such occasions). She was gracious enough to let those couple of hours be all about me (which is why I love her dearly). Of course I do the same thing for her. Celebration is essential to flying. I mean, what is the point of succeeding if you cannot scream Hallelujah, Roll Tide, Go Gators, You Go Girlfriend or something else in complete and utter delight? No point in all, but of course that is my opinion.

I challenge you to at least once a month, pour yourself a drink (iced tea, Coke, Pepsi, or the beverage of your choice) and toast yourself. It does not matter if you are alone and have no one to share that moment with. It is all about you. You can write your celebrations here and I will gladly raise a glass with you. Also, if you are alone, you don't have to get dressed. You can toast yourself naked or in that bikini that will never see the outside of your bedroom! The important thing is that you celebrate you for a few moments. Celebrating yourself is the best way to prepare yourself to spread your wings and continue to fly.
