Flying with miracles

Eden Bachar
What miracles have you witnessed lately? I hope you do not have to think too hard. I have had a few. Remember my new safe place, the yoga studio? Well they gave a friend of mine a free class. That saved $12. My friend gave me a coupon for $3 off a salad at my favorite place.

The physical therapist at work gave me an exercise to loosen up my stiff knee and it worked. My aunt did two reiki sessions over the phone on that same knee and I was able to run a half marathon over the weekend without pain. Yes, I wanted to throw up at mile 11 but that was due to the cold medication. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

The point is that miracles happen all of the time. We need to be more mindful and grateful for them. For the little ones. And them maybe we will get more of the huge- in- your- face- I -cannot- believe- it- kind. Those are the ones we hope for the most.

Lately I have been more thankful for finishing a race and not being found dead (two people died at the Savannah marathon a few days ago). I am thankful to be able to wake up in a bed with a roof over my head even though the roof leaks ever so slightly.

I am just trying to be grateful for no reason at all especially in the midst of stuff and in the midst of nothing at all.

Miracle happen everyday, change your perception of what a miracle is and you'll see them all around you.
