Flying with magical chicken noodle soup

I wasn't feeling too well Saturday which was the day before I was scheduled to run my 20 mile training run. I had a headache, chills, and fever. I was told not to run and to just rest. I knew that was advice that I was not taking.

So I ran my 20. Afterwards I was extremely tired and the headache and chills came back. I sent out an SOS. My new friend Kimberly is a chef. I asked her if she had any magic soup.

She made me a very delicious chicken noodle soup. I will say that it is magic because I am not a huge fan of that kind of soup. Maybe because my only real memory of it is the bland watery concoction that comes out of a can. This was so much better than that. I rosemary and bay aromas took over my senses and I could not wait to taste it. And that is magic.

Almost every culture has its own variation on chicken soup, and rightly so-it's one of the most gratifying dishes on the face of the Earth.
