Flying while looking up

Liam Andrew Cura
Where is your focus today? Where are you looking? Are you looking up or are you looking down? When I run alone I am generally looking down. I look down because I do not want to trip on anything. I do not want to trip because I have fallen down many times. I have tripped over sidewalk cracks, tree roots, the feet of others, a pine cone (yes, and I fell hard on that one) and probably a few other things.

While looking down is appropriate some times, we have a better vantage point when we look up. Looking up allows us to see infinite possibilities. We can see designs in the clouds, planets, stars, and our imagination can soar. Or you can just get an incredible view of infinity.

Looking down can be like looking back. It is fine if that is the direction you are headed, but usually that is not where the prize is. Think about it, is your goal something you have already done? I did not think so.

For today, keep your head held high. Look up at the sky from time to time and take a deep breath. No one has to know. It can be our secret.

Look at the sky. We are not alone. The whole universe is friendly to us and conspires only to give the best to those who dream and work.
