The lesson learned for me is to not automatically open strange looking emails from people who I do not normally receive emails from. I suggest that you do the same.
I changed my passwords and tried to warn everyone. The interesting thing is that I received replies from people I had lost contact with. People I had not spoken to in years. That gave me the opportunity to continue conversations with them. Some I did, others I did not. Of course I told all of them not to open the email even those I decided not to chat with. It is a matter of respect. It isn't that I am angry at any of the people I chose not to re-friend. It is just that some things and people are better left exactly the way they are, in the past.
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any f your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.
